About this survey:

Every local authority has to publish a Kinship Local Offer. This is the support they say is available for kinship carers and their families.

We are asking kinship carers in your area, to share their experiences so local authorities can understand what support is really like in practice.

What is a kinship carer?

They are friends or family who step up to raise a child when their parents aren’t able to, including those with a legal order like a special guardianship order, as well as those caring informally without any legal order.

Your answers are anonymous.

We will share what you tell us with the local authority in your area, but not your name or any personal details.

Our aim is to make sure your views are heard and taken seriously.

As Kinship, the national charity, we are helping to collect and share as many kinship family's experiences as possible.

The survey will take around 10-12 minutes.

You can skip any question.

4. Reaching "less heard" kinship carers
All kinship carers' views are important.

We also know that some kinship carers are less often heard from, and that there are times when local authorities may need to do more to listen.

This question helps us understand whose voices we are hearing, and where more listening and support may be needed.

What best describes you? (Select all that apply).
